Horse Tale Rescue is very pleased to announce that a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming “A Horse of Course™” Fundraising event will be donated to Horses Healing Heroes, located in Herald, CA.
Horses Healing Heroes provides heroes of all kinds a path towards healing. In their safe and beautiful, pastoral setting, their clients are helped to Release, Readjust and Reconnect™. Some of their programs are focused on assisting veterans, law enforcement and first responders with PTSD, depression and related issues, as well as assisting women and children through a self-esteem and core value program.
We will be donating towards HHH’s Home for Equine Angels Repurposed for Therapy™ (H.E.A.R.T.) program. The H.E.A.R.T. program takes in horses donated by well-meaning owners who can no longer provide for them. Some of the horses are past their prime or no longer can perform at the level required. Other are horses who have developed chronic, but not life-threatening, medical problems that prevent them from performing. In addition to donated horses, H.E.A.R.T™ also accepts horses rescued from negligent owners.
Horses in the H.E.A.R.T. program may join the equine staff of HHH. Those not suitable for a therapy role may become available for adoption by qualified, loving adopters.
We are proud to help support HHH in their equine rescue and support initiative!
Horse Tales Rescue will be announcing an additional beneficiary organization for the event in the area of autism awareness.
